FAQ

  • How much is the admission fee to Renn Fayre for invited guests of the performers? Each performer gets one free pass for themselves and another for their guest. Reminder: performers please visit the coffehouse Pass List to add your own name and that of a guest to this list or ask will who will submit to the Renn Fayre czar on the Thursday before the fayre..
  • How much is a pass? For other guests a Renn Fayre Pass is around $20 for the weekend. ( Note: Will has only once seen a security query occur inside the coffeehouse, but plenty of times elsewhere on campus .)
  • Does it make a difference whether or not the guests are Reed alumni? Yes in that Pass Sales requires that an alum vouch in person for a non alum.
  • When and where can i get a pass? See ->http://rennfayre.com/pass.php for pass sales hours, sales are usually out of the South end of the SU.
  • Do performers get Beer Garden passes? Not free from the Coffehouse, but beer garden passes are available for purchase from Renn Fayre Pass Sales which has in the past been located near the Student Union building.
  • What Sound Support and Equipment is provided at the Coffeehouse? Yes, click that link to find out.
  • Can my performance be recorded, and what did the lounge-sound like in years past? Likely so, by asking Will, for an example recording listen Strange Country’s cover of Fergus McCormic (89) 's ->Mystery Fair (3 Meg MP3 )
  • What did the Coffeehouse look like in years past?->2007, ->2006, ->2005, ->2004 (photo galleries, past schedules etc..)
  • Can we play outside? We can move part of the sound system outside onto the Vollum steps if the weather and other events allow.
  • Who will come? Well, whom did you invite? Occasionally we are awash with students leaving another event, or getting out of the rain, but promotion is key to ensuring folks are there to support you.
  • Whom do I contact to perform in a student operated venue like the SU?  http://rennfayre.com/ usually lists the renn fayre czar email address, inquiring there is your best  bet as we have no pull with any venue but Vollum Lounge and the steps thereto.
